Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and ensure superior customer service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage stock and merchandising: receiving, stocking, restocking, displays, planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Ensure cash handling and deposits are performed with integrity and accuracy, support refunds and overrides as needed.
• Assist in managing store in Store Manager's absence.
