Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Spring Hill, TN location. This part-time role supports store operations, drives customer service excellence, and helps develop the team.

You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise flow, scheduling, and compliance while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. The position offers opportunities for growth and hands-on leadership exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties (walking, standing, stooping, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store front fixtures, displays, and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure policy compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
