Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Springfield, Tennessee.

The role involves assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, opening/closing tasks, and enforcing store policies. Responsibilities include supervising store associates, maintaining clean and organized areas, processing directives, managing inventories, and ensuring safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to read and interpret directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records including payroll, scheduling, cash handling, loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom; protect all assets
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash; keep areas neat
• Other duties as assigned
