Job summary

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is hiring Seasonal/Intermittent Program Support Staff to assist with the preparation, operation, and breakdown of various sports programs, leagues, clinics, and events. Positions are countywide, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (17+ may require a work permit).
• Prior leadership, supervision, and clerical experience preferred.
• Associate degree or higher is desirable for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for multiple sports programs, including registration check-in and answering questions.
• Assist with program setup, including equipment transport and field/court prep.
• Support game-day operations, including scorekeeping and timekeeping.
• Engage with participants, parents, coaches, and spectators in a positive manner.
• Ensure program areas remain safe, clean, and organized during activities.
• Assist with inventory, storage, and maintenance of equipment.
• Complete other duties to support sports programs and events.
• Other duties as assigned.
