State of Minnesota, Transportation Department is seeking Temporary Snowplow Operators across District 6A. Positions vary by location and shift; Emergency/Intermittent, with potential nights, weekends, and holidays.

CDL with tanker endorsement required within 6 months; pre‑employment drug testing and Clearinghouse checks apply. Locations include Albert Lea, Austin, Dresbach, Owatonna, Red Wing, Rochester, Stewartville, and Winona.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with no Airbrake restriction; Tanker Endorsement within 6 months.
• Incumbent must pass pre‑employment drug test for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, MDMA/MDA/MDEA, 6‑AM.
• Must be registered in FMCSA CDL Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Maintains roadways for snow and ice control.
• Prepares and inspects winter equipment.
• Performs preseason snow route inspection and post‑storm cleanup.
• Performs winter stockpile setup and transfer of anti‑icing/de-icing chemicals.
• Maintains snow fences; replaces mailboxes.
• Maintains snow/ice inventory records and reports.
• Performs traffic control set‑ups and notifies dispatch of disabled vehicles.
