Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring Alpine/Freestyle/Snowboard Development coaches for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. Roles involve safe ski/snowboard instruction, age-group coaching, and maintaining high standards of safety on varied terrain.

Candidates should be 16+ with willingness to train and participate in Snow/ Ride sessions. Starting wage ranges from 21.00/hr to 40.00/hr, with part-time hours available and housing not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written).
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must work well in a team.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.

Responsibilities

• Upholding the highest levels of guest and personal safety on varied terrain under varying winter weather conditions.
• Instructing skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally.
• Ensure athletes matched to appropriate skier level; adjust with supervisors as needed.
• Assist guests to load and unload the chairlift.
• Communicate instructions and assist athletes during training sessions and at competitions; lift children by vest if applicable.
• Supervise athletes in training and assist at snack times; return athletes to guardians.
• Assist in operation of competition services and related programs (registration, equipment fitting, training areas, facilities).
• Other duties as assigned
