Job summary

Vail Resorts in the mountains is seeking Alpine/Freestyle/Snowboard Competition coaches to deliver high‑quality ski/ride coaching while ensuring athlete safety and adherence to the Skier Responsibility Code, Park SMART, and company guidelines. This in‑house team offers growth opportunities and strong support from foundation staff.

The role focuses on developing athletes from local to national levels, with a pathway for advancement and extensive coaching development within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends.
• Basic computer and general software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Uphold guest and personal safety on varied terrain in winter conditions.
• Match athletes to skill level and adjust with supervisor input.
• Communicate instructions clearly during training and competitions.
• Supervise athletes during training and ensure they return to guardians.
• Assist in operation of competition services and related programs (registration, equipment fitting, area upkeep).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
