Job summary

You will work with the Ski/Snowboard School Director and Managers to ensure staffing aligns with demand and budget goals, while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Administration and Management Background
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Willingness to continually learn and update knowledge of skiing/snowboarding and instruction through PSIA/AASI organization
• Knowledgeable of all Ski/Snowboard School Products, Rental and lift products
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
• Must be aware of the ski areas terrain and facilities
• Must follow a professional over-all appearance, be neatly groomed setting an example of the dress code standards of the Ski/Snowboard School and maintain ski/snowboard equipment in good condition
• Must follow all Safety and Risk guidelines provided in the Dodge Ridge Employee Handbook
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Excel and email systems
• Willingness to work during extreme weather conditions
• Good physical conditioning, including flexibility, strength, and endurance
• Heavy and awkward lifting up to 50lbs
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This involves courteously interacting with guests and being able to answer questions professionally.
• Assists with motivating, evaluating of staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established departmental goals and objectives. Tracking all employees received training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary.
• Supports the Ski/Snowboard School Director, Manager and Supervisors to schedule adequate staff to meet both the changing ski/snowboard lesson demands and budget guidelines.
• Assists Ski/Snowboard School Manager to maintain detailed, organized and accurate scheduling and payroll. Monitor and ensure staffing levels and schedules according to daily demand.
• Assists Ski/Snowboard School Manager in scheduling instructors to daily lesson assignments and complete required daily documentation neatly and accurately ie; daily boards.
• Assist in tracking instructors hours and producing accurate payroll for our biweekly payroll.
• Assist with check-in for lessons during weekends and holidays.
• Maintain records of instructor training with Supervisors and Trainers.
• Manage the department risk management program, keep all risk documentation up to date in the YELLOW Safety Binder, including accurate and updated documentation of training. Tracking all safety topics and line up safety meetings.
