Dodge Ridge Corp. seeks enthusiastic Snowsports Instructors to teach guests across beginner to advanced levels at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort in Pinecrest, CA. You will develop students’ skills while maintaining a safe learning environment and providing exceptional guest service.
Applicants should be capable of teaching multiple age groups, from children to adults, and be prepared to participate in clinics and ongoing skill development. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Snowsports Instructors provide exceptional guest service while working with our guests to advance their technical skills along with their enjoyment of the sport while maintaining a safe learning environment. Instructors need to have the ability to teach various age groups including children, teens and adults. Instructors must also have a willingness and desire to improve their own technical and teaching skills in order to better serve our guests. Instructors must be punctual , flexible, well presented, able to meet the physical requirements of the position and have ski / ride ability suitable to the level of lesson they can teach.
Instructors must possess the knowledge and ability to teach both adults and children in the beginner levels. Level I certified Instructors must possess the knowledge and ability to teach beginner to intermediate lessons. Level II certified instructors must possess the knowledge and ability to teach intermediate lessons . Level III certified instructors must possess the knowledge to teach all levels in all snow and terrain conditions.

It is important to note that the position of ski and snowboard instructors involves a considerable amount of skiing and snowboarding. There is however a distinction between free skiing/boarding and working. Any questions in this regard, should be directed to your Supervisors.
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
