Job summary

Silver Creek Valley Country Club in San Jose, CA is seeking a part-time Server for the Ohlone Lounge. This seasonal position (6 months or less) provides a chance to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality property operated by Troon.

As a server you will process orders and deliver food and beverages, aiming for 100% guest satisfaction. The role requires 1–2 years of service experience and a high school diploma, with opportunities to collaborate across kitchen and bar teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of food service experience.
• Minimum education: high school diploma (or equivalent)
• Thorough understanding of fine and casual dining
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
• Must be dependable
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and seats diners comfortably in the dining section
• Takes customers’ food and drink orders
• Collaborates with kitchen and bar staff for prompt and accurate delivery of orders
• Memorizes the menu and recommends appetizers, meals, and drinks from the restaurant wine stock
• Delivers a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assists with tidying tables, clearing leftovers, and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
• Sets tables and rearranges the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare for special events
• Ensures cooking utensils and kitchen areas are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
