Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health - Lake Pointe Rowlett is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse to join the PACU/ICU care team. You will manage patient care, assess needs, and implement care plans for pediatric and adult populations on 12-hour shifts.

This 13-week assignment includes a completion bonus, shift differentials, orientation week, and potential conversion to full-time or PRN roles. ACLS/BLS required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years of PACU experience or ICU/ED experience (critical care) experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS, BLS PALS or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
