Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring for a store role in San Diego. You will assist customers, process transactions, promote rewards programs, and support omnichannel activities like BOPIS and SFS.

Expect truck unloads, stocking, POS duties, and ongoing store recovery to keep shelves in stock. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, ability to stand long periods, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and early mornings

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS & SFS) and curbside pickup when applicable
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance; handle returns and store recovery to stay well-merchandised and in-stock
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies
• Interact with customers and teammates; maintain a positive, respectful attitude; cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
