Job summary

Michaels Store in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Store Associate to help customers, stock shelves, and process transactions efficiently. You will guide shoppers, support rewards sign-ups, and participate in daily store routines in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, maintaining planograms, and supporting BOPIS/SFS processes while upholding safety standards. Availability for nights, weekends, and early mornings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience handling cash and operating a register.
• Ability to assist customers, guide product location, and resolve basic questions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help shoppers find products or solutions.
• Provide fast, accurate checkout and cash handling.
• Engage customers in store offers and enroll them in rewards programs.
• Assist with omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining planograms (POGs).
• Perform merchandise recovery and store recovery tasks to keep shelves stocked and appealing.
• Support safety programs and SOP compliance; model a respectful attitude.
• Cross-train in framing selling/production where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by store leadership.
