Job summary

Michaels Stores in Poway, CA is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure fast checkout. The role requires standing, occasional lifting, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Standing, walking, and light lifting required.
• Familiarity with rewards programs and checkout standards.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including return/go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies and standards
• Interact respectfully with customers and team members; cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
