Job summary

Michaels New Castle, PA is seeking a store associate to assist customers, operate POS cash registers, and help keep the store clean and stocked. You will engage shoppers, enroll them in rewards programs, and support omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift boxes, and move around the store while maintaining a welcoming, safe shopping environment. Training in framing is included where needed.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Strong communication and problem solving in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and returns to keep the store in stock and well-merchandised.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; act as a role model for team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
