Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Austin seeks a Seasonal Server for Capital A Restaurant. You will deliver prompt, friendly service, take orders, and ensure accurate fulfillment in a fast-paced setting.

Must have at least 1 year serving experience in a high-volume venue; knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer; ability to input data into MICROS; strong English communication; and flexibility to work weekends/holidays. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year serving experience, high-volume sports/live entertainment bar experience preferred.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC - or obtain upon hire.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting specialty cocktails.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers.
• Ability to input information into MICROS accurately.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the dining room.
• Greet guests and provide superior customer service.
• Take orders and suggest menu items and daily specials.
• Communicate with culinary team about meal requirements and allergies.
• Record transactions in MICROS and adhere to cash handling standards.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Present the check and process payment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Set up and break down stations and perform side work as assigned.
• Ensure tables are set and glasses cleaned.
• Provide Omni Moments of Service according to standards.
