Job summary

Omni Dallas Hotel in downtown Dallas is seeking a friendly server for our restaurant and bar. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure great service, while maintaining knowledge of menus, beverages, and daily specials.

Responsibilities include recording transactions in MICROS, processing payments, collaborating with culinary staff, and upholding Omni Moments of Service Standards. Must be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience, high-volume sports/live entertainment bar preferred.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC - or obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer; experience selling and presenting cocktails.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers.
• Ability to input information accurately into MICROS.
• Ability to work under pressure with a welcoming demeanor.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform required physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Know the dining room, menus, and beverage offerings.
• Take orders and suggest menu items.
• Communicate with culinary team about dietary needs.
• Record transactions in MICROS and handle payments.
• Check guest satisfaction after courses.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Set up and break down stations and perform side duties.
• Ensure proper table settings and reset areas.
• Uphold Omni Moments of Service Standards and avoid over-serving.
