Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a remote seasonal associate to serve as the primary contact for associate relations and ethics concerns. Investigate associate complaints and provide recommendations for resolution. Provide leadership training and coaching to leaders on fair employment practices.

Day to day, you’ll counsel associates and leaders, mediate disputes, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in progressive HR roles with knowledge of employment laws.
• Strong customer service, communication, and coaching skills with independent work ability.
• Analytical skills and conflict resolution experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Address associate relations concerns by counseling associates and leaders; mediate disputes; conduct investigations and audits per policies and laws; recommend actions.
• Respond to concerns via telephone, chat, or email; provide guidance to leaders and associates on employment matters.
• Determine eligibility for accommodations and engage in a good-faith interactive process per the ADA.
• Provide exceptional customer service while addressing concerns and promoting fair employment practices.
• Investigate complex concerns and manage high case volume with documented records in the system.
• Ensure HR activities comply with HR Block values and policies; collaborate with AR leadership and field leaders on escalated issues.
