Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a remote seasonal associate who serves as the primary contact for associate relations and ethics concerns.

You will investigate complaints, provide recommendations for resolution, and coach leaders on fair employment practices. In this role you will counsel associates and leaders, mediate disputes, ensure documentation and compliance with laws and company policies, and collaborate with AR leadership on escalated issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in progressive HR generalist or consultant roles, with at least three years handling reasonable accommodations.
• Demonstrates strong customer service, written and verbal communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong and objective analytical skills, including solid decision-making abilities, conflict resolution experience, good judgment, the ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Counsel associates and leaders; mediate and resolve disputes between associates and leaders; conduct investigations and audits per company policies and laws; recommend appropriate action.
• Respond to associates’ concerns via telephone, chat, or email; provide guidance and coaching to leaders and associates.
• Determine eligibility for accommodations and engage in an interactive process per the ADA.
• Provide exceptional customer service while addressing concerns, and promote fair employment practices.
• Research and resolve complex associate relations concerns in a fast-paced environment; document issues in case management system.
