Job summary

CityMD in New Jersey is hiring a full-time seasonal Patient Service Representative (PSR) to warmly welcome patients and manage registration. You will coordinate intake, verify insurance information, assist with paperwork, and support a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires exceptional communication, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with physicians, patients, and staff. Seasonal position with end date 2027-02-27; base pay $18.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Bilingual by site location preferred or required.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environment preferred.
• Proficiency with computers; typing around 55 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize intake and coordinate appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork as needed.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phones and respond to questions promptly.
• Process medical insurance information; verify eligibility; liaise with Billing as appropriate.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager or assistant site manager of waiting room wait times and inquiries.
