Job summary

CityMD, part of Summit Health Management, seeks a Patient Service Representative to warmly greet patients, manage intake, and coordinate appointments at our CityMD site in New York. You will handle registrations, insurance questions, and paperwork with care and efficiency.

The role is seasonal with guidance and we offer a supportive team, flexible interactions with physicians, and essential benefits for eligible staff. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• A High School Degree or GED.
• Happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing roughly 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable to a changing environment.
• Passion for helping others in healthcare and ability to interact with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills required or preferred based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Entering/updating patient information in the system.
• Assisting patients with paperwork when necessary.
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records.
• Answering phone calls and questions promptly and politely.
• Processing medical insurance information and verifying eligibility.
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately.
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Informing site manager of wait times and patient inquiries.
