Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita is seeking a Registered Nurse for a seasonal Med Surg/Tele position on the night shift. The assignment may be 13 or 26 weeks with full-time hours (3 shifts of 12 hours per week).

The RN will provide patient-centered care, coordinate plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications include 2+ years in an acute care nursing role, state RN licensure, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and hospital protocols.
• Assists physicians during procedures within the scope of competency.
• Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record and reports changes in condition promptly.
• Provides education to patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks to ensure standards of practice.
