Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson is seeking an RN for a seasonal, night-shift position on a 13- or 26-week assignment. Requires 1+ year of acute care nursing experience and ability to care for neurological MedSurg patients with a 6:1 patient ratio.

Provides patient-centered care, collaborates with neurologists and a multidisciplinary team, and participates in ongoing professional development within a supportive hospital culture.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an acute care setting.
• RN with state licensure and BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to nursing process.
• Documents patient assessments and reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
