Job summary

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco seeks a Visitor Experience Assistant to warmly welcome members and visitors, assist navigating spaces, and promote memberships and audio tours during the busy holiday season.

This part-time, seasonal role requires at least two years of customer service, a high school diploma, and the ability to work three days per week including one weekend day, with shifts 9am-5pm or 10:30am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. with demonstrated interest/knowledge in hospitality, art history or related fields.
• At least two years of customer service experience.
• Ability to work varying schedules and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively provides friendly and courteous service to members and visitors.
• Assists visitors in navigating museum spaces and promotes memberships.
• Operates a digital point of sale system and processes memberships.
• Promotes museum memberships, audio tours and exhibition sales on-site.
• Maintains neat and organized workspaces and supports crowd control as needed.
