Job summary

COFAM seeks a part-time Sales Associate for the Museum Store in San Francisco. You will greet customers, educate on products, process sales, stock inventory, and maintain displays while delivering exceptional service in a dynamic museum environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least two years in retail. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 pounds; weekend/evening availability is required. Pay rate is $23.50 per hour with no benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• At least two years of retail experience.
• Excellent customer service and selling skills.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
• Able to stand, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with sales, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Learn product knowledge to educate customers and promote store programs.
• Prepare cash wraps, open/close tills, and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain displays and restock merchandise throughout the day.
• Process purchases using POS and handle packing/shipping as needed.
• Answer questions and fulfill phone or online store orders as required.
• Protect merchandise and prevent loss through vigilant engagement.
