Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah seeks an experienced sous chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef manages daily kitchen operations, leads staff, ensures food quality and safety, and executes high-volume service in a seasonal mountain resort environment.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, calm under pressure, with a strong culinary background and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain). Flexible weekends/holidays required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Line Cook or Prep Cook.
• 1+ years as Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager preferred.
• Formal culinary training or degree preferred.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing, and maintaining high-quality, consistent food offerings.
• Execute menus efficiently during peak service periods.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff including cooks and prep staff.
• Train new hires on recipes, safety standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Ensure health dept regulations and resort policies are followed.
