Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced sous chef to join our Food & Beverage team at Solitude, UT. The role focuses on daily kitchen management, team leadership, and delivering high-quality, safe, and memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced resort setting.

The ideal candidate has several years of line cook experience, at least 1 year in a sous chef or kitchen management role, formal culinary training, and a ServSafe-level understanding of food safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as Line Cook and/or Prep Cook
• 1+ year experience as Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Ability to lead a team and manage in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution and maintenance of high-quality menu offerings
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service
• Train new hires on recipes, safety and procedures
• Ensure health and safety regulations and resort policies are followed
• Assist with ordering, inventory and cost control practices
