The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Maintenance Repairman 1 for its Department of Transportation. This hands-on role supports construction and repair tasks, handling material preparation, equipment use, and safety practices to help maintain safe infrastructure.

Seasonal, full-time work schedule 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The position requires two years of general maintenance experience in building, electrical, or mechanical trades or an equivalent combination, plus a PA Class C

Competenze

Two years of general maintenance experience involving two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Mansioni

Construction Support: assist with planning, measuring, cutting, placing, and finishing materials for repair tasks.
Concrete Work: order, prepare, and pour concrete for ramps, stairs, shelves, and inlets.
Tool Operation: use motorized and manual tools safely and report damaged or missing equipment.
Safety Practices: follow procedures, wear protective gear, and stay alert to prevent accidents.
Inspection Tasks: conduct visual checks, document findings, and support safe operations.
