Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a seasonal park maintenance assistant at Table Rock State Park in Branson. The role supports grounds, restroom sanitation, mowing and general park upkeep through the March–October period and up to 1,000 hours total. The schedule includes holidays, weekends, and night shifts.

You’ll work with a small team, perform routine maintenance, assist with recycling and stewardship tasks, and gain hands-on park management experience in a national recreation area setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and night shifts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 16 years of age.
• Interpersonal skills: Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect.
• Listening: Receives, attends to, interprets, and responds to verbal messages and other cues such as body language.
• Self-Management: Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays initiative and works with minimal supervision.
• Physical Strength and Agility: Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash containers and clean/sanitize restrooms and vault toilets.
• Perform routine grounds and building maintenance.
• Perform weed eating and mowing as needed throughout the park.
• Clean and sanitize shower houses in the campground and clean fire pits in the campground area.
• Maintain park trail system.
• Assist full time staff on maintenance projects.
• Assist full time staff with recycle program.
• Assist full time staff in the removal of exotic plant species as well as stewardship initiatives throughout the facility.

This position will be located at Table Rock State Park 5272 State HWY 165 Branson, MO 65616. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, weekends, and night shifts. 30-40 hours weekly. This is a temporary, seasonal position, not to exceed 1,000 hours total during the length of the employment.

Duration of Assignment

March 1 thru October 31.
