Job summary

Newport Restaurant Group in Warwick, RI is hiring Line Cooks for the 2027 summer season. Join a coastal team and help prepare soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts to restaurant standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

This seasonal role offers free furnished housing within 2 miles, transportation assistance, and a referral bonus. Work locations include Castle Hill Inn, The Mooring, 22 Bowen’s, Celeste, and Boat House, with start April 1 and end December 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of line cook experience.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds.
• Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items to restaurant standards.
• Make sure food orders are fulfilled promptly and correctly, checking the status of orders as they move through service.
• Assist in final dish preparation, upholding our standards for quality, speed, and presentation.
• Clean and maintain your workstation, cooking equipment, tools, and utensils.
• Work closely with your team to keep service running smoothly.
