Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to guide customers through a thoughtful culinary journey, share product expertise, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will support daily operations, process transactions, and contribute to a seamless, best-in-class shopping experience while working 12–16 hours per week with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and loyalty.
• Maintain product expertise through training and independent resource gathering.
• Engage customers, identify needs, recommend products, and foster a Guest Obsessed culture.
• Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions.
• Promote add-ons and events to grow store traffic and engagement.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals; track KPIs like sales volume, average transaction value, and conversions.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, high-performing store culture.
• Assist onboarding of new associates by sharing product knowledge and best practices.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system and handle returns and price checks.
