Job summary

The Salvation Army in Indiana is seeking a Kettle Driver to transport bell ringers and equipment during the Red Kettle Campaign season. You will drive an insured Salvation Army vehicle and act as an ambassador promoting our mission.

Shifts run Monday through Saturday during the campaign (November through December). You will be responsible for safety, accurate timekeeping, and ensuring all kettles and gear are secured and returned after each shift.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Background checks: A background check is required and results reviewed.
• Experience: Driving 12-passenger vans is preferred; minimum 2 years driving experience.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard.

Responsibilities

• Drive insured Salvation Army vehicle to transport bell ringers and equipment.
• Maintain safety and report incidents immediately.
• Coordinate offload and pickup of kettles and equipment at designated sites.
• Document time and keep accurate forms for bellringing.
• Ensure kettles, bells, aprons and stands are secured and returned.
