Job summary

Nordstrom in San Diego is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to engage customers, connect them with services, and maintain a welcoming store environment. You will support events, assist with merchandising, and help keep the area organized.

The role emphasizes strong communication, initiative, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail setting. Some shifts may include opening/closing duties and light cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by storytelling and engaging diverse audiences.
• Understand customer needs and connect to services (Online Order Pickup, Alterations, Styling, Returns, Gift Wrapping).
• Communicate professionally via phone and email, delivering trend and style feedback.
• Support back-of-house processes including inventory and organization.
• Assist with event execution: RSVPs, door greeter, and contact tracking.
• Open/close responsibilities and security procedures.
• Light cleaning duties: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, dishwashing, restroom maintenance.
