Job summary

SPS North America is seeking an Ice Technician for The Rink at Rockefeller Center. The role focuses on operating the ice resurfacer, maintaining ice quality, and ensuring a safe, guest-ready environment during the 2026–27 season.

The position requires indoor/outdoor work in cold conditions, weekend and holiday availability, and the ability to work as part of a guest-facing team. Training and PPE are provided, with opportunities to contribute across rink operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an ice resurfacer is required.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Safety training and following SOPs consistently.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ice resurfacer safely and efficiently.
• Complete scheduled ice cuts and routine ice maintenance.
• Monitor ice conditions and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly ice-side and surrounding areas.
• Assist with snow removal and weather-related upkeep as needed.
• Support Skate House operations, including rental skate organization and sanitation.
• Perform light repairs and maintenance on rink equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and assist other departments as needed.
