Job summary

The Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York operates as a seasonal winter venue. SPS is seeking dependable Ice Technicians to maintain ice quality, safety, and presentation while supporting day-to-day rink operations.

Responsibilities include operating the ice resurfacer, performing ice maintenance, monitoring conditions, and assisting with Skate House duties and light repairs. Weekend availability is required, and proper training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating an ice resurfacer is required.
• Experience in ice rink operations or facility maintenance is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ice resurfacer safely and efficiently per procedures.
• Complete scheduled ice cuts and routine maintenance.
• Monitor ice conditions and report hazards promptly to management.
• Maintain clean, safe ice-side and rink areas.
• Assist with light repairs and general venue upkeep as needed.
• Support Skate House operations and equipment organization.
