Job summary

SPS North America Inc. is seeking a hands-on Shift Lead at The Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City. You will lead the shift, deliver warm hospitality, train teammates, and ensure smooth daily operations across hospitality, ticketing, access control, skate rentals, retail, and related rink functions.

The role requires proactive, dependable leadership with weekend/holiday availability, a focus on safety, guest satisfaction, and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hospitality, attractions, events, or guest services.
• Clear communicator who can guide and support a team.
• Calm under pressure; strong judgment for busy guest-facing settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with genuine hospitality on shift.
• Assist with training and coaching team members across rink operations.
• Coordinate staff assignments, breaks, opening/closing, and daily readiness.
• Monitor guest flow, safety, cleanliness, capacity, and service standards.
• Provide direction and support to staff throughout the shift.
• Resolve routine guest and operational issues and escalate when needed.
• Communicate with Manager on Duty and other team members.
• Step into various rink functions: hospitality, ticketing, access control, skate rentals, retail, photography, crowd management.
• Anticipate needs and proactively keep operations running smoothly.
