Job summary

The Ice Rink Attendant position at the City of Shoreview, MN is a seasonal role handling daily operation, safety and cleanliness of seven warming houses and surrounding rink areas. The job includes opening/closing, supervising rink use, and providing customer service in a cold outdoor environment.

Season runs December through early March, weather permitting, with 10–20 hours per week. Training, required paperwork, and first aid knowledge are expected; lifting up to 25 pounds and working varied

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Able to shovel or move snow and lift up to 25 pounds.
• CPR/First Aid/AED and concussion training provided after hiring if needed.
• Able to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Open, close, and secure facilities as scheduled.
• Monitor rink activity and enforce safety rules.
• Provide friendly customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Shovel rinks and pathways; maintain cleanliness of warming house areas.
• Record attendance, weather and incident information.
• Assist with equipment setup and take down as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
