Job summary

The City of Apple Valley is seeking a Warming House Attendant to operate the warming house and oversee surrounding ice rinks during hours of operation. This seasonal position emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and friendly customer service within a welcoming skating environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the building, daily cleaning, assisting with events like Mid-Winter Fest on 2/6/2027, and promoting Parks & Recreation programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
• Pleasant, energetic, self-motivated and action oriented to maintain a safe and clean warming house.
• Provide fun and friendly customer relations to promote the City of Apple Valley and our Park System.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the warming house.
• Maintain a safe, clean warming house and skating environment.
• Perform daily clean-up of warming house and rinks with basic cleaning equipment.
• Be knowledgeable about Parks & Recreation resources and programs and promote them.
• Use basic first aid procedures to assist injured facility users; contact EMS as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service to all users.
• Assist with Mid-Winter Fest Celebration on 2/6/2027.
• Other duties as assigned by Recreation Supervisory Staff.
