Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking a part-time seasonal Membership and Contact Center Assistant to welcome guests and help plan visits. You will share information, process tickets and memberships, and respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person at the Visitor Center.

The position runs October 12, 2026 to January 22, 2027, averaging 20-24 hours per week with at least one weekend day and some evenings. Prior museum or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a museum, box office, customer service, retail, or fundraising setting.
• Experience with Tessitura or a CRM or ticketing system preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility to routinely work weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to compose clear written responses to member and visitor emails.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide information about Garden grounds, amenities, classes, and events over the phone, email, and in person.
• Process ticketing and membership transactions; update constituent records in Tessitura CRM.
• Maintain professionalism and resolve guest issues; escalate when needed.
• Sell memberships using membership knowledge and sales techniques.
• Handle credit card and check transactions; follow opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks including membership fulfillment.
• Adhere to safety policies and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain attendance and follow established policies and procedures.
