Job summary

Guest Services Representatives I are part of the museum operations team, delivering exceptional guest experiences and engaging visitors in informal STEM education. You will serve as the first contact, guiding conversations, providing demonstrations, and supporting educational goals during the seasonal period.

Responsibilities include operating exhibits, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and responding to guest inquiries with enthusiasm while adapting content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years customer service experience in a museum or hospitality setting preferred.
• Experience using inquiry-based approaches to learning.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests with respect and enthusiasm to deliver a welcoming, informative experience.
• Lead conversations about exhibit content, adapting to age and background of guests.
• Apply informal science education techniques with hands-on demonstrations and activities.
• Respond to guest inquiries, tailoring interactions to be educational and engaging.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot exhibits to keep displays functional and appealing.
• Keep exhibits and areas clean, organized, and safe for guests.
