Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring for winter 2026/27 as Hosts/Hostesses in seasonal positions. You will be the first point of contact, greeting guests, managing reservations, guiding seating, and supporting front-of-house operations to ensure a smooth dining experience.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting wage is $20/hr with opportunities for growth and seasonal benefits.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer initial questions about the menu, specials, and general restaurant information.
• Manage seating chart and monitor table availability for balanced server workload.
• Take and confirm reservations; manage waitlists during peak times.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates and maintain a comfortable waiting area.
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist with inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entryway, and waiting area.
• Assist other staff as needed (e.g., bussing tables, folding silverware, running food, processing payments via POS).
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
