Responsibilities

• Performs various manual labor tasks to assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, plumbers, masons).
• Performs manual tasks related to drainage, sewer and water conduit installation, trench work, and shoring adjustments.
• Digs trenches, refills excavations, and levels dirt, gravel, and materials.
• Sets and repairs curbing; patches pavement using diverse materials and small hand tools.
• Installs and maintains signs by digging holes and installing supports with hand/power tools.
• Plants, transplants, prunes, and maintains trees, shrubs, lawns and gardens; applies pesticides when needed.
• Loads/unloads trucks; inventories supplies; stores equipment in storerooms.
• Operates hand tools, tapping machines, and rodding machines; drives light vehicles as needed.
• Performs related duties as required.
