Job summary

Qualifications

• At least six months of full-time, or equivalent part-time experience in performing manual labor in general construction or maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains public areas of assigned location such as restrooms, campgrounds, parking lots, trails, beaches etc.
• Performs various manual labor tasks which may require some specialized skill.
• Installs, repairs and maintains signs by digging holes and installing supports using hand or handheld power tools.
• Plants, transplants, prunes, trims and fertilizes trees, flowers and shrubs; seeds lawns and gardens; sprays for insects and plant diseases; grass cutting, raking leaves and watering as required.
• Load and unload trucks; unpacks and stores supplies and equipment; takes periodic inventories.
• Performs preventative maintenance on tools; washes, inspects and sharpens edges.
• Repair and paint guard rails; set up traffic control props; move equipment; sweep and remove trash.
• Operate handheld power tools and attach mower blades or vacuum cleaners to equipment.
• Operate light vehicles and perform related duties as required.
