Tessera is seeking a hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker for a seasonal, temporary role at Fort Gregg-Adams near Petersburg, VA. You will help maintain industrial, commercial, and public grounds, operate equipment, and support our government customer with clean, safe, and attractive outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in grounds maintenance.
• Ability to work independently at a fast pace.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Background check and E-Verify will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass using walking-type or riding mowers.
• Trim hedges and edges around walkways and beds.
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape growth.
• Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
• Plant and water grass, flowers, and shrubs.
• Repair and paint fences, gates, and outbuildings.
• Clean and maintain buildings, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Snow removal and de-icing as needed.
