Job summary

King & George is seeking seasonal Grounds Maintenance Laborers to support landscape and grounds upkeep at Naval Station Mayport. This position performs outdoor manual labor including mowing, trimming, edges, debris removal, and general landscape maintenance across large areas of the installation.

The work is physically demanding in Florida heat and weather conditions. Responsibilities include mowing, edging, debris removal, and operating handheld landscaping equipment, with a priority on safety

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mow large turf areas using commercial equipment.
• Trim and edge around sidewalks, fences, and structures.
• Blow debris from sidewalks, roads, and parking areas.
• Remove branches and landscape debris.
• Assist with tree trimming and debris chipping operations.
• Load and unload tools, mulch, and materials.
• Maintain clean work areas and job sites.
• Operate handheld landscaping equipment (weed eaters, blowers, hedge trimmers).
