Job summary

National Car Rental, part of Enterprise Mobility, is hiring for a seasonal Customer Service Associate at The Consolidated Rental Car Facility in Hanover, MD. The role supports vehicle supply, greets customers, directs arrivals, and assists with directions and returns.

Candidates need a high school diploma, at least one year in customer service, a valid US driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience in the last 5 years.
• Must have a valid US driver's license for at least 1 year.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist shuttlers, detailers, return agents and managers to ensure vehicle supply.
• Greet members as they exit the bus or arrive at the lot; direct to exit booth.
• Provide directions, maps and return directions to customers.
• Help customers with questions to minimize counter visits and improve service.
• Ensure hangtag information is completed correctly and maintain fleet cleanliness.

This position can not exceed 6 months.

Pay

The starting compensation for this job is $18 / hr.

• Any hours worked between 10PM-7AM are eligible for $1.00 shift differential.

Schedule

• 7:00am - 3:30pm Thursday - Monday (Tuesday/Wednesday Off)
• 3:00pm - 11:30pm Friday - Tuesday (Wednesday/Thursday Off)

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:

• Work proactively with shuttlers, auto detailers, return agents and managers to ensure proper vehicle supply
• Welcome members to the facility when they exit the bus or arrive on the lot
• Direct customers to exit booth, provide local directions and maps and provide return directions where applicable
• Assist members with questions and concerns to minimize counter visits
• Communicate customer service issues to management
• Ensure that hangtag information is completed correctly
• Maintain clean low mileage fleet mix requirements
• Maintain Emerald Aisle for cleanliness
• Thank member for their business
• Provide upgraded vehicles on request
• Perform other customer service related duties in addition to those listed, to ensure our service meets the needs of our customers
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Must have a minimum of 1 year prior customer service experience in the last 5 years, preferably in a retail or restaurant setting
• Must have a valid US driver's license for at least 1 year
• Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years, and no DUI’s or DWI’s on driving record in the last 3 years) employment reference, education and social security.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Apart from religious observation, must be able to work the shift/schedules:
• 7:00am - 3:30pm Thursday - Monday (Tuesday/Wednesday Off)
• 3:00pm - 11:30pm Friday - Tuesday (Wednesday/Thursday off)
