Job summary

The Scoular Company is seeking a Seasonal Scale Operator in Colorado to support grain handling during the harvest cycle. You will weigh grain deliveries, test quality, and direct trucks for loading and unloading, while maintaining a clean work area and providing professional customer service to Producers and Drivers.

On-the-job training is provided, and overtime, night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold and high winds.
• Must be able to remain standing on hard surfaces for long periods.
• Must be able to work in an environment with high levels of grain dust.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading.
• Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample and enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
