Job summary

Scoular is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to join our team in Pittsburg, KS for a seasonal harvest-cycle position with potential to move to full-time. Primary duties include receiving, weighing and testing grain and providing excellent customer service to Producers and Drivers.

You will weigh trucks, direct them to loading/unloading locations, collect commodity samples, perform data entry, maintain a clean scale area, greet visitors, and support operations. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills are essential for interactions with producers/drivers.
• Attention to detail in weighing and data entry.
• Willingness to work overtime and outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
• Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and direct trucks to the proper loading/unloading locations; communicate with the production crew for timely unloading.
• Probe inbound trucks to collect commodity samples and enter customer and commodity information into the tracking system.
• Housekeeping duties to keep the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
• Greet customers and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate person if necessary.
• Other duties as needed to support operations.
