Job summary

The Scoular Company is seeking a motivated Scale Operator to join our team for the harvest season. This seasonal role lasts through mid-September and may transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.

In this role you will receive, weigh and test grain, weigh trucks, direct them to loading areas, collect samples, and keep the scale area clean. You will greet customers and support operations, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance is required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility.
• Weigh trucks entering and leaving the facility and direct to loading areas.
• Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading.
• Collect commodity samples from inbound trucks and enter data.
• Maintain cleanliness in the scale room and office area.
• Greet customers and visitors professionally and direct them as needed.
