Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking a Grain Handler Technician to safely handle, store, and move grain within a grain facility. You will operate conveyors, augers, elevators and maintain storage systems while ensuring safety and quality standards.

This role requires lifting, operating heavy machinery, and adherence to PPE and safety protocols. A valid driver's license, basic math, and basic computer skills are essential for inventory and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or prior agri experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Basic math and computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment safely and effectively.
• Certification in forklift or heavy machinery operation.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and load grain using conveyors, augers, and elevators.
• Operate and maintain grain handling machinery, including dryers and storage systems.
• Conduct quality checks on grain for moisture, weight, and other specs.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage practices.
• Clean and maintain grain bins, pits, and work areas to meet safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations, including PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate records of grain shipments, inventory, and activities.
